The airplane sometimes is not the best classroom for high school students. Many of our students do not have transportation available to take them to the local airport. In addition, the only way that our students can attend school is through bus service. With the Gleim Virtual Cockpit, our students would be able to do their flight training on campus! Its size and accessibility gives us the ability to use the simulator in most our of classrooms! In addition, having simulator would allow students to learn the basic principles of flight and build their flight time even during inclement weather! With students on campus already learning how to build and assemble aircraft parts, our simulator would be used to give these students the full flight experience, both inside and out! This flight training would be done in conjunction with the Gleim X-Plane Flight Training Course installed into the simulator, which saves our school time and money. With this training, we could provide a pipeline of skilled student workers for flight schools, colleges, universities, and local businesses in the aviation industry.
