My students are a diverse group of three-year-old children who qualify for special education preschool. They live in an medium-sized urban community, and most speak English as a second language in addition to having special needs. Some of my students have Autism Spectrum Disorder, while others have Speech/language impairments or intellectual disabilities. Most of my kids come from families of low socio-economic status, and need significant support at school and at home. Our special education preschool is three separate classrooms that serve a variety of three, four, and five-year-old students with special needs.
