My fifth graders are an energetic group of students. As digital natives, they are growing up in a world vastly different than the one I knew in fifth grade. My students have a need for a different kind of instruction, and a different philosophy of education. My students no longer have a need for memorizing dozens of facts, they have a world of facts at their finger tips through the web. What they do need, is a classroom that allows them to explore their individual learning styles, and stay comfortable while they work.
