"You teach 5th Graders? You are brave!" A statement that I commonly hear among my own colleagues, parents, and friends. It is a comment that I cherish daily and hold near and dear to my heart. My students are transforming from children to young adults. These kids thrive when given a challenge. They produce the necessary energy (and more!) to make it through a long, hard day of academics. They frown if they are stuck, but glow when they overcome difficult tasks. They question everything. They appreciate. They are loud. They are kind. They love to learn. They are my 5th Graders.
