Recently I read an article about giving students the freedom to choose where they want to sit. Maybe they want to be in a traditional desk and chair. Maybe they are fidgety and they want to bounce on a FitPro Ball. Maybe they want to sit on the floor and use a clipboard to work. Maybe they want to stand! Why should I limit them to sit still at their desk when it might not be the best way they learn? Isn't MY goal to help them reach THEIR goals? I want to create a space that allows them to feel like they are making their own choices about their own learning. The stools allow them to easily sit around the Teacher Table. The FitPro Balls allow them to get their body moving while they work. The table extenders will help them stand at a table to work. The bean bags will be a nice change from the metal chairs they are used to! I am very excited to see what my students will think of their new space!
