This TV, with an Apple TV I plan to purchase on my own, will allow students to interact wirelessly with projected content, and have a shared visualization of educational websites, videos, and instruction. This television will allow for flexible seating and mobile accessibility. My current tool is a projector, which has a fading lightbulb and several wires that prevent mobility. Students struggle to see content, and cannot interact with it. While we are so lucky to have 1:1 laptops, I want to build community and confidence by allowing students to project their projects and thinking wirelessly. I am currently a tech lead in my school and district and am enrolled in a year long MERIT course to better my ability to integrate technology in my classroom. This places me in a position to educate my colleagues and lead the way as we prepare our students for a future in which technology will be even more embedded into everyday life. I want to move away from students being isolated in their own devices and practice collaborating live. This TV is a great tool for group collaboration.
