Our school puts a strong emphasis on STEAM programs (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math). The Cricut will let students use some of their computer coding and design skills they have been working on and give it real world applications. They can add designs to posters and presentations, create real characters and backgrounds to create comics or short stories, print objects for dioramas, and design pictures using angles and measurements. A Cricut can lead to possibilities my students don't even know are possible. They will be ecstatic about the technology aspect of using this machine, and it could even lead to an interest in computer science careers. I am so excited to see how this machine can change the way we do projects and to see all the creative uses for this machine.
