Math is a fun and engaging subject to teach, as long as we have the right tools. In order for it to be fun, students need to be engaged and allowed to experience it hands-on. Fractions and decimals is a difficult concept/skill to teach, but with the fraction and decimal kits each student will have the opportunity to compare, order, and find equivalent fractions hands-on. Another math concept/skill that is difficult for students to visualize is area and perimeter. With these kits students will be able to create their own area/perimeter models and compare them to others. What I LOVE about these kits is that each child will have their own. I can have them work independently or in groups.
