Our school's class competitions help boost school spirit! The Freshmen are new to this school so they are discovering how fun school spirit can be! We want to give them every opportunity to be successful throughout the competition and school overall. When you boost moral, students want to become more involved in school and are more likely to be successful and graduate! They will be proud to say they graduated from their Alma Mater! The graduation rate is down and this is our attempt to boost it back up. Our biggest competition comes as part of the pep rally. It is the Spirit Wall competition. They use a lot of paint, glue, rolls of paper, and other art supplies. Each class gets to decorate a wall to the theme of the pep rally. The other classes get to work through out the summer to prepare their walls. The freshmen have only days to prepare their walls. The only supplies the children are using have been funded by the sponsors, who are teachers. Along with their limited funds, the teachers provide time and and support for the enthusiastic ninth graders.
