My students are 10th and 12th grade students in a high-poverty area. They have very limited access to the world of literature outside of school, and I want to change that. I want to open the doors to them so that they will begin exploring and appreciating classic literature on their own. I want them to learn to love reading and writing as much as I do, and appreciate the value it adds to their lives. I want them to understand how the stories and plays written hundreds of years ago still inspire and motivate and influence people today in many ways. Help me as I instill in them an appreciation and love of great writing!
