We are limited as to what we can do in our classrooms for several reasons (space and budget are the biggest obstacles). My students are so creative and need an outlet that is not always digital. We do A LOT with technology but for them to be able to manipulate with their hands and minds connected would be so beneficial. I have a small classroom budget because we are a small school it is hard to justify these items over basic needs. I want them to be able to work on fine motor skills, innovation, and STEM skills during their recess time if they so choose. As of right now the options are to be on Chromebooks, draw/color, read, or watch a movie. I would like some other options for them, especially this time of year when it often rains and we are stuck inside. I feel this will a great choice for all genders. I have children this age and Magna-Tiles and LEGOS are often a popular choice. There are also some really cool projects we can do with these tools, creating designs and making movies with them. I can see the endless possibilities stemming from a basic need for recess time! I love to innovate learning for students. I plan to share with my entire grade level! Also, all the classes that come through 3rd grade in our school will be able to use these! Thanks for considering a donation to these amazing kids.
