Having 21st-century skills is essential for Deaf High School students. They are required to use interactive technology like Google, Newsela, and Schoology every single day yet they do not have computers in their classroom. The majority of them do not have access to computers at home either which makes doing homework and all-things-high-school even more challenging. My students deserve to have access to all of the knowledge they can via a laptop, anytime they need it. Taking information off the page into the digital world brings education to life for Deaf learners in a way that is impossible without technology. We need more doors open, lights on, and young minds being blown.

About my class
