I teach 6th grade Social Studies in a high-need community in North Carolina. My class consists of a majority of English Language Learners; but don't let that fool you. My students have a desire to learn, a yearning to soak up as much as they can. They are hands on learners who love to connect what they are learning with the real world, and I want to provide them with as many opportunities as I can.
