My goal each and every year is to enhance student literacy because Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening is the foundation to their academic and life success. I want to teach my students the value of literacy and the importance of reading fluency and reading comprehension. This guided reading leveled reader kit would help me cater to students of all reading levels and provide me with an abundance of resources to support my multi-lingual students. Having this guided reading leveled library in my classroom will provide me with the tools to grow and build enthusiastic and independent readers. I would have the ability to expose my students to more books on their independent and instructional reading level. My students have proven to be hard-working, goal-oriented, and education-passionate children. I am sure that my students will utilize the books in school during guided reading sessions, work diligently at home to increase their reading fluency, and practice the reading skills learned during guided reading in their independent reading time. Impacting my students' lives and guiding them towards literary success is one of the main reasons I chose education as my career. I focus on literacy for 2 hours during our school day. Overall, I am immensely passionate about Literacy for multi-lingual children, and if gifted, I will use this guided reading leveled reader kit daily to move my students from one F&P level to the next.
