The students in my class do not currently have a library space to grab a book, find a comfy spot, and dive into books. We want to instill a love of reading as they go into middle school, and in order to do that we need a space for them to access books. With only a shelf and no where to sit and read, students often become uncomfortable reading. This carpet will give my students a space where they can fall in love with literacy and share new stories with one another to improve both their reading and writing skills! The baskets will give me space to display even more books for them to chose from and the carpet will give them a place to read it in. When we give students a beautiful reading space, and access to more books, we help them understand how beautiful falling into a story can be.
