Our school is on a block schedule, which means students sit in class for 90 minutes. This is too long, even for teens, to sit. I am hoping to add some standing tables/desks to my classroom to create flexible work spaces so students can stand while working on their laptops or reading their textbook. The tables could also be gathering spots for small group discussion and overall help my students to get up out of their seats while learning. I plan to rotate activities every 30 minutes so every student has an opportunity to use the standing desks. Thank you!
