I serve a high needs community, and funding for this project will make sure that each of my brilliant young artists will have access to their own paint kits-whether we continue learning in school or whether they return to learning from home. As an art teacher of over 18 years of experience, I’ve learned that no medium has been more calming, flexible, fun, and artistically and cognitively inspiring for my students than watercolor paint. With often limited supplies at their homes, having access to their own painting supplies will give them access to this healing medium and make painting projects possible- wherever they receive my art instruction!
