I am requesting small group sets of books that will be used throughout the school year in Reading Clubs that I lead/facilitate as a reading specialist. I need these books to conduct literacy circles/book clubs with my students in order to improve their reading and comprehension skills, as well as to engage them with a captivating story which teaches valuable life lessons. My book selections were made carefully, with the students interests in mind to help engage them positively in rich literature. The students will use these books to guide rich discussion with their peers. The students will also be involved in reading comprehension and writing activities to strengthen their skills and build their confidence.
