We are a Title I school with over 50 percent free and reduced lunch demographic. My students are widely diverse coming from many socioeconomic backgrounds. My students daily rise above all expectations and have high aspirations of going to college and having successful careers. My students strive daily to reach their goals which they have set for themselves to ensure that they are ready for the next school year. Not only do they want to learn but many go home after school and teach their younger siblings skills which they have mastered. Several went home this past year and taught their parents their third grade math skills to help their parents learn what they had learned. I have a class of learners who will someday be local and community leaders. They believe in themselves. I do too!
