About my class

The goal for my selections is to allow flexible seating so that my students have a choice to sit where they feel most comfortable so that they can work up to their full potential. I want to allow my students to choose a spot in the classroom when they have independent work or during independent reading time. My students seem more engaged in their work when they have an option of where they can work in the classroom. I want to expand on the seating options that I already have available. I have chosen padded stools to use at my small group table. I have also selected beanbag chairs, hypoallergenic pillow inserts and covers, and inflatable balance ball chairs with stability legs to have in the classroom for students to use as alternative seating when they are working independently. I have also included a class set of headphones in my selection. My school district is one-to-one with technology. All of my third graders have Chromebooks that they use in the classroom. They can use the selected headphones when working on their computers on different assignments online as well as educational games. Flexible seating as well as headphones for each child will benefit my students tremendously!
