Picture books are excellent springboards into a variety of concepts and topics. By providing students with a variety of picture books, showcasing a diverse population, all students can find themselves in the stories. We can help teach children to love themselves and others with the help of diverse stories. I want students to learn early on to be accepting, understanding, kind, and empathetic. A variety of diverse books will help achieve this goal. These books will be shared with colleagues to continue the ripple effect in our building and community.

About my class
