I am blessed with a very large classroom, but big spaces require lots of light and fluorescent lights can over stimulate young children. Research suggests these fluorescent lights can cause stress, anxiety, hyperactivity, attention problems and other distress leading to poor learning performance. A peaceful environment is key to helping my kinder students develop their social, emotional, academic needs and developing a caring class family. Using these light filters in our classroom , cubby room, and entryway will soften the bright lighting allowing us to utilize the natural light from our windows and create a more tranquil and calming learning environment for my students.
