The students in my class and at my school are incredibly diverse in socioeconomic backgrounds, social-emotional needs, and academic abilities. In 14 years, this is the most loving, distracted, and emotionally needy group of students I have had. They desire a great amount of feedback, and nearly constant reassurance that they are doing a good job. Many of them struggle with understanding that learning is about much more than simply checking items off of a list... but rather, it's the journey and how it will effect their lives now and in the future.

About my class
