In any orchestra, upright basses are absolutely essential. They form the base of the group, and if they are not present it sounds like there is a huge hole in the ensemble. Right now the orchestra is growing, and we only have two basses. As the orchestra continues to grow we will need more bass players to balance the orchestra. Having a brand new upright bass will give our students pride in the orchestra, and pride in the school. They will look forward to coming to school every day to play on the new instrument, and the other students in the orchestra will sound more professional because they will play in an orchestra with a balanced sound!

About my class
