At the beginning of the school year, I give my students a reading interest survey to best gauge the authors, titles, and topics by students are particularly interested in as they enter fourth grade. My goal every year for my students is to help them fall in love with reading. By providing books they actually are interested in, the kids say "yes" to reading and show an excitement that truly is magical. All of the books we are asking for are requested directly from my students, including many books in actual series. This encourages kids to keep reading even after they finish a book.
