"Every child can learn, just not in the same way." I love adapted PE and I love the uniqueness of each of my students. I want to be able to give my students the opportunity to learn in PE, nurture their skills, and enjoy the activities. In order to do that, we need equipment which can be very expensive for adapted PE. For example, the safe catch gloves are softer and allow the students to practice throwing and catching without safety concerns that come with using regulation baseballs. The nuts and bolts activity will assist a student who needs practice in fine motor skills. Another area that we focus on are fundament skills, such as non-locomotor and manipulative activities. The curve-a-beam will help my students focus on their stability and balance. Any donations are greatly appreciated because every item on the list will help my adapted PE students in some way.
