My students attend an elementary school that has been serving it's community in Philadephia for over 125 years. Over 500 students in grades K-6 each come from very different backgrounds as the neighborhood is extremely diverse in both culture, race and socioeconomic status. My students love using art as an outlet and are truly happiest when they have the freedom to create! In a school of many different languages, art class is often the place where students feel they have a voice.
