My middle school scholars are an inquisitive and enthusiastic bunch. They love sharing and spreading any news and information they can get their hands on. Unfortunately, few of them can get their hands on anything at all. Even fewer have ever been outside their home city in Massachusetts. Most of my students receive free lunch and breakfast and many do not speak English at home. As such, they have trouble visualizing or relating to many people, places, and concepts both nearby and distant that we study in history, science, literacy and writing.

About my class
