The movable whiteboard would allow me to teach in unconventional settings. Instead of whole group instruction, I can move around the room and teach small groups sitting on the carpet, sitting in desk groups, or standing together. In this way I can meet more individual student needs and at the same time let them choose the setting in which they learn best. This project would allow my students with some essential classroom materials to ensure their academic success. The large anchor chart paper will display visual aids to help students with the math strategies, the complicated writing process, and comprehension strategies that they are all working to master. These visual aides will help them take charge of their own learning because they help themselves by referencing the visual aides displayed on the big paper. Students learn best when they have have a safe, comfortable environment. The soft rug will give students a comfortable place to work independently or together. Not to mention it provides a cozy space to develop a love for reading.
