I believe in the power of differentiation. Besides differentiating content and product, I also think that students should not be limited to a certain position. We teach our kids to come in, sit in the desk, face forward and stay still. However, as an adult we go crazy when we have to sit in one position. So my goal is to turn my classroom into a choice or flexible seating environment. I have regular education, special education, and gifted students whom all have different learning styles and attention spans. I believe helping my class purchase items for choice seating will greatly improve the way my kids learn and how much they absorb. My school is also geared towards mini lessons and so I believe an iPad would help me to digitally record and present my 8 to 10 minute lessons. Students would be able to access my lessons at any time and they will be able to learn at their own pace by pausing and playing the video when they need to. The iPad would give me access to different apps that allow me to upload notes and create activities. Having the iPad would help create movement around the room so I wouldn't be stuck in one place. Please help in any way you can! Thank you in advance!
