I teach sixteen special education students in grades sixth through eighth. I work with them in a variety of settings. There are times I go into the classroom and collaborate with their classroom teacher, and there are times in which they are best served one on one. They are extremely intelligent students who thrive to do their best. They attend a rural, high poverty, K-8 public school in the heart of Appalachia.
