Living in a digital age, my 5th grade students don't understand a world where computers and Internet don't exist. When they have questions or a topic suddenly sparks their interest, they expect answers to be at their fingertips immediately. I'm not always able to provide these experiences for them. I want to increase students' experiences with technology and make it more accessible to them when they "need to know right now." We are currently lacking updated technology in my classroom, having only 3 outdated desktop computers and a laptop cart consisting of 24 laptops that are shared among 100 or more students. Having these iPads available in the classroom will make technology more accessible to my students when they "need to know right now".
