I teach in a district that is extremely pressed for funding and resources. We are a small neighborhood, elementary school with a diverse population. We have students who are on their first stop from their native country, students of various abilities and learning styles, from different socioeconomic groups with varying levels of parental involvement all meshed together in a regular education setting. Together, we are a community of happy and active learners. Our students deserve the tools necessary for a high quality education. I want to nourish these young writers and provide them with the skills and tools they need to be successful.

About my class
