My students need to further value themselves, fellow students and the world around them. These books can be a mirror of themselves, as well as windows and doors to the world around us. My students need a variety of books to deepen their understanding and appreciation of racial and gender diversity and equity. A few of the books are "All the Colors of the Earth" and "All the Colors We Are." The books are about racial and gender diversity and equity, friendships, culture, the present and history.
