In the 21st century, being able to fluently use technology is crucial. Thus, as an educator, it is my duty to ensure that my students learn how to appropriately use various forms of technology. Having tablets in my classroom would allow me to both teach my students how to safely use tablets and it would give me an opportunity to use a variety of different websites and apps that allow for personalized learning. From an app that reads stories out loud to sight words games to addition/subtraction practice, having tablets would allow for endless educational opportunities. These games and other resources would keep my students engaged and give them the chance to practice what they find challenging.
