My students come into the classroom without notebooks, paper, folders, etc. because they are not allowed to bring anything into the classroom and cannot take anything out of the classroom due to safety reasons. My school does not provide much supplies. I started my year off with only paper and 12 pencils for my students. It would be a great help to supply all my students with the supplies they need in a classroom. My goal is to have a normal science classroom, just like the ones they would have outside of the facility. Thus, I would need more pencils, folders, and paper. The chart paper and Expo markers are for me to teach and write out the notes for the class. The chart paper is great for me to hang up notes and guidelines for the students. The baskets are used to keep all their work together. I am also planning to add scientific articles for my students to read when they are done with their current assignments. The readings will be in the baskets as well. My students love to learn with color. Thus, I love to incorporate art projects that go along with our science curriculum. That is why the colored pens, markers, colored pencils, glue sticks, and colored paper are needed. They also feel a great sense of pride and it boosts their morale when they see their art pieces on the bulletin board. I will need bulletin board paper and tape to put their pieces on the wall. My students and I really need the support to create the colorful, creative classroom we dream of.
