All of my students are not fluent in the English language. They all speak another language as their primary language. Many of them were born in the United States, but only their parents native language is spoken in the home. This language barrier makes education very difficult for them. It is a very tiring experience to be translating language all day long in your head or on paper. We strive very hard to not only learn the English language, but also to comprehend the class academic content.
