I am a fifth grade teacher within an amazing community of learners in Alaska. Our classroom and school emulate qualities of curiosity, perseverance, kindness, and tolerance. Students work hard toward goals within a supportive climate of peers and educators. Rich opportunities of learning English as a second language pose unique challenges and discoveries for many of my students. We dig, question, explore, test, and encourage each other throughout our days together. We never say we can't do something. Instead, we might say that we can't do it YET. All in all, laughter and the beauty of our Alaskan community color our days as we embrace our learning journeys...together.
