In English language arts class, we would be able to strengthen communication using 21st century software for the students who are nonverbal. For example, using pictures and auditory activities from the tablet, students will be able to hear, see and identify things in their everyday life. Recording of their voices will help with auditory IEP's. In Math, my kids will be able to strengthen their skills using mental math and number sense with large, touchscreen capabilities on the iPad. Simple movements are difficult for some of my special needs students, so the touchscreen will help them to address the IEP's skills of dexterity.
