Hello! I am a teacher in a Title One elementary school in Salt Lake City. My students come to school each day with an enthusiasm for learning and growing their brains. We cheer when it's time to read and celebrate learning from our mistakes in math. Students in my classroom do their best each day developing the real-world problem-solving skills they need to be successful as well as building empathy and social awareness. The majority of students in my school are English Language Learners and approximately 97% of students in our elementary school qualify for free or reduced lunch. Despite the hurdles, my students come to school passionate, hopeful, and dedicated to learning and growing. My hope and goal is to instill a lifelong love of learning that will set each of these students on the path to college, careers, and beyond.
