Our school is a Title 1 public school on the Gulf Coast in Mississippi. My students come from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds, but most are from a low-income, single-parent family. My students come to school every day excited to see their friends and get away from the difficulties of their home lives. When I find something that hooks my students, they are engaged and SO ready to learn! They all have so much potential, but need the resources and opportunities to be able to go above and beyond as learners.

About my class
