We are a little school in the heart of Miami, Florida, who serve students ranging from Pre-Kindergarten to 5th grade. We are a Title I school with 95% of our students on free or reduced lunch. Our students are fun loving, avid readers and have overcome many obstacles to rank 9th in the state of Florida for academic achievement in making learning gains this past year on the 2013 Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test. We were acknowledged by the Miami Heat for our hard work and commitment. Our students love to read; this is evident by fact that our library circulation has tripled just in the last year. Our students are special, they give of themselves unconditionally. We have piloted many different programs and they just embrace each challenge presented to them and soar. I am so very proud of each and every one of them. We are a community of learners, readers, and most of all of winners.
