Chromebooks will make a difference in my classroom because it will be easier for my students to learn English and complete projects in English because they will have the technology to help them achieve this. They will be able to use the Chromebooks to look up information in their own native language and transfer that information into English and they will be able to use videos and pictures to help them acquire academic content. The projects that will be completed in my ESL classroom will be aligned with the Massachusetts Common Core Standards. Meaning, students will be expected to complete projects analyzing, synthesizing and summarizing literature. To accomplish this, they will make posters and videos about books and stories they read. Using visuals will help them immensely to grasp academic content because they will have pictures to help them as their English speaking abilities are limited.
