I teach at a school where 100% of our focus is on our students. They work so hard to be better citizens and are learning what it takes to be leaders in today's world! My students are amazing little people who come from many different types of backgrounds! Our school district serves a large area that is comprised of both rural and urban towns. More than 80% of my students come from low-income homes. Many of our students are underprivileged and love coming to school to gain experiences they otherwise may not. Our classroom is centered around creating a positive culture and fun learning environment. The individual needs of my students are just as diverse as their backgrounds. Some children are emerging readers while others are still developing alphabet skills and phonics.
