Because of the nature of this course, Internet research is essential for all students, and electronic word processing is required to accommodate the individual needs of some of my students. Unfortunately, our school's budget leaves very little room to invest in technology and we are at a large deficit for computers. Many of my students do not have cable, computers, and Internet access at home, so school is the only way that they can learn about the big issues that are happening in the world today. In addition, technology is a fantastic resource for students with ADHD to help them focus. The addition of just a few ChromeBooks will help provide internet access for my students for research, as well as technological support for the success of our students with ADHD.
