I work in a Waldorf inspired Charter School in Northern California. We are located in a diverse working class town, and about half of my students have at least one Hispanic parent. Many are English Learners as well. This is a high energy group of kids who are very motivated to work and learn. We are always striving to improve our STAR test scores, and it's easy to let games and physical education slip through the cracks with all of the pressure we are under to raise academic achievement. And since we are a small school, funding is always a tight as can be.
