When students are given a choice of alternate seating in the classroom that suits their learning needs, they will be comfortable in their learning community. Empowered to make this choice, students’ engagement with lessons and learning outcomes will flourish. This can also reduce the amount of behavior problems by creating a community that is built around their choices. Engaged students are more productive which will provide me with increased time to work with small groups or individual students based on their learning needs. The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. The comfortable beanbag chairs and higher tables will give the students a few options to choose from as well as the couch and low table. The lightweight flex space comfortable floor seats will also add to their choices around the room. I am so excited for my students enjoy a new environment of learning.
