I'm presently serving 11 students in a self-contained special education classroom with a mix of high to low functioning autism, emotional and behavior disorder, and intellectual disability. My students are beyond amazing and extraordinary. They are loving, caring and a lot of fun to be around. They've taught me so much about myself, not only as an educator, but as an individual also. They inspire me in many ways. My students and I share many quirks which make them unique. My school is currently Title I eligible and most of my students receive free-reduced lunch. I strive to create a learning environment that is positive, safe and fun to be in! I think if you asked my students how they would describe me, they probably would tell you that I am silly. My classroom is very structured and we abide my strict rules, but we also know how to have fun and laugh while learning!
