Children with Autism have unique needs and struggle daily with communication and academics. Students who have difficulty focusing need extra sensory activities, hands on manipulatives and breaks throughout the day. I am constantly adapting and accommodating for my students to reach their academic goals and make gains. Using these fun and interactive activities I selected, will really benefit my students and help me find the best way to teach them. It is important to switch/ change activities every few weeks to keep students engaged and excited to learn! This project will provide different options to help my students focus on math, reading and fine motor skills. It will also give them additional flexible seating options that can really motivate them to learn and feel comfortable while working.
