This is my 6th year teaching and i'm headed back to the world of public schools. After 3 years of being in charter schools, where most items are given, I need to completely stock my classroom. The use of whiteboards and expo markers will be a daily activity! We use them daily for math work and problem solving at their desk. The clipboards will also be used daily in various work. I allow my students to have flexible seating when it comes to getting their work completed. That may mean finding a cozy spot on the carpet, or in a corner of the room or window seal. The clipboards will allow students to move around freely to finish their work. Other materials such as pencils, paper clips, staples, stapler, chart paper, and markers will be used as basic materials or to develop anchor charts to help students learn.
